Kampong Thom (FN), Mar. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his interest in the handicrafts exhibited at the 7th River Festival, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 7th River Festival held on Thursday (Mar. 9) at Stung Sen Park in Kampong Thom Province.

The premier stated, "I am very excited to see the provincials and community handicrafts exhibited at the booths this evening. Current productions are made with good quality and with responsibility, which can supply the domestic market and export."

At the same time, premier Hun Sen said that he dreamt of Cambodia becoming the largest producer of cashew nuts in the world.

On that occasion, Samdech also expressed his hope that the future of Cambodia, peace combined with the policy of safe villages and communes are part of the attraction for tourism, but more importantly, the production that serves the needs of the people as well as tourism.

At the same time, premier Hun Sen also advised to continue to pay high attention to maintaining security and order, especially to promote the implementation of safe village-commune policy thoroughly and consistently.
