Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen unveiled that he is confident with his decision to appoint Phnom Penh governor Khuong Sreng for the second mandate.

The premier spoke at the opening of new training courses in 2023 of the Royal School of Administration, held on Thursday (Apr 27) at Diamond Island.

"There have been verbal attacks on Khuong Sreng. If I did not have firm position, Khuong Sreng would not become the governor for the second mandate,” the premier underlined.

Khuong Sreng was appointed to continue as the governor of Phnom Penh for the second mandate by a Royal Decree dated 5 February 2021 upon request of premier Hun Sen.
