Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 10 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen warned zero tolerance for an official of the Candlelight Party Sar Salongdeth and reiterated zero tolerance for anyone who has link with the three-generation traitor, likely referring to convict Sam Rainsy.

The premier spoke on Saturday morning (June 10) during his meeting with more than 16,000 workers in Kandal Stueng district, Kandal province.

The warning came after Sar Salongdeth, in a recent meeting of Candlelight Party, wanted to establish a commune for the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and a commune for the Candlelight Party separately.

In the meeting, Salongdeth also criticized the organization of the SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games, in particular the free tickets, free accommodation and food, and free broadcasting rights that Cambodia offered.

"Do not forget that you [Salongdeth] still has link with the three-generation traitor. Hun Sen does not forgive anyone who has associated with the three-generation traitor, and anyone who disassociated from the traitor will be able to get a pardon," the premier underlined.

On the occasion, Samdech emphasized that the establishment of the communes is prohibited.

In addition, Samdech warned the commune councils of the Candlelight Party not to believe in the incitement of Salongdeth.

Samdech also encouraged the confiscation of houses of opposition members who refused to pay as instructed by their bosses.

It should be noted that Salongdeth hold a meeting with the officials of the Candlelight Party in Daun Penh, 7 Makara, and Toul Kork districts on 3 June 2023.
