Takeo (FN), Jun. 11 – Cambodian prime minister Hun said that Cambodia must get rid of extremist politicians who told foreigners not to invest and purchase Cambodian goods.

The premier spoke on Sunday morning (Jun 11) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Takeo province.

Samdech pointed out that the two former Thai prime ministers never demanded foreigners to pressure Thai politics and economy, unlike some extremist politicians in Cambodia.

"Obviously, the employment opportunities today resulted from the wise leadership of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and the Royal Government, not the opposition group. The opposition told foreigners not to invest in Cambodia, purchase Cambodian goods, and impose sanctions on the kingdom. Therefore, we must have some mechanisms to respond to them and in Cambodia, we must get rid of those extremist people who are destroying our nation," the premier underscored.

At the same time, Samdech continued to call on workers and employers to jointly maintain peace in the factory and go to vote on 23 July 2023.
