Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 13 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen requested the president of the Senate Say Chhum, and the president of the National Assembly Heng Samrin to assist the Royal Government in amending national election law.

The premier spoke Tuesday morning (Jun 13) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh.

"I would like to request the president of the National Assembly and the president of the Senate to assist the Royal Government to all election laws by eliminating the right to stand as a candidate at elections for any individual who does not go to vote," the premier underscored.
