Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 14 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that his meeting with former Buddhist monk San Sochea yesterday aimed at supporting Sochea in promoting dhamma through offering positive thoughts and good advices to Cambodian people.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (June 14) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh.

“We need people who retired from monkhood to continue to promote Buddha's teachings through educating and offering good advices to Cambodian people on peacekeeping, maintaining political stability, and especially doing good deeds in society,” the premier underlined.

San Sochea retired from the monkhood on 21 May 2023 in Australia after 31 years of his devotion to Buddhist. He was born in 1976 in Tram Kak district, Takeo province.
