Kampong Cham (FN), Jun. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said he is not troubled by the overseas extremist group’s criticism against Hun Manet, the eldest son of the premier.

The premier spoke on Friday morning (Jun 16) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Kampong Cham province.

"They [the extremists] said Hun Manet got elected [as future premier candidate] due to connections. I affirmed that I did not care whatever measures he [Hun Manet] took to be elected as the premier as long as it is legal," the premier underscored.

Taking this occasion, Samdech explained that in order to become the prime minister, each party must first choose an eligible candidate. The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has many potential members eligible to be the prime minister.
