Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 19 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen recalled a time when his spouse Bun Rany had a miscarriage due to lack of water, speaking on Monday (June 19) at an inauguration of Bakheng Water Treatment Plant in Phnom Penh.

The premier added that we cannot change the past, but the past is a lesson for us to focus and find solutions.

"I myself have experienced a tragedy. My wife had a miscarriage as Phnom Penh did not have water at that time. I rushed to work, so I did not fetch enough water. My wife went to fetch water herself and had a miscarriage,” the premier recalled.

Samdech continued that when he was a foreign minister, deputy prime minister and prime minister from 1979 to 1995, he never had a proper shower.
