Svay Rieng (FN), Jun. 25 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen recalled Cambodia’s bitter past during wars, which deprived himself of youth opportunities.

The premier spoke on Sunday morning (Jun 25) during his meeting with more than 20,000 workers in Svay Rieng.

The premier strived to prevent war at all cost so that the next generation will not face the bitter fate as the old generation. He added that he and other people are victims of the war, who had lost plenty of potential opportunities in their youth during war time.

Samdech underlined that he was very lucky because he had been injured five times, but survived to the time of peace, while others were killed.

Samdech added that peace is the prerequisite to attract investment and development in all areas. Therefore, we must jointly work together to maintain peace to ensure future development. He warned zero tolerance for anyone who wants to destroy the peace.
