Kandal (FN), Jun. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced free medical examination and treatment at Techo Santepheap National Hospital for factory workers.

The premier spoke on Thursday morning (Jun 29) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province.

Premier Hun Sen said, "the construction of the [Techo Santepheap] hospital is almost finished and it is now put into operation temporarily. Our workers who are sick can go to get examination and treatment for free of charge at the hospital.”

"I would like to inform citizens nationwide, especially people living in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, that we have built a hospital with a capacity of nearly 10,000 beds, the largest hospital in the country,” the premier added.

Samdech added that Techo Santepheap National Hospital is the largest national hospital in Cambodia and there are not many such huge hospitals in Southeast Asia. Therefore, the premier urged people to go to receive medical treatment there.

On that occasion, the premier underlined that during the COVID19 outbreak, no one was left behind as every patient has been well treated.
