Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 4 – The Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to declare 22 members of the Oversight Board of Meta Platform Inc. as Persona Non Grata.

"The recommendation of the Oversight Board to Meta Platforms Inc. to temporary suspend the official Facebook page belonging to Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen is political in nature. It intends to obstruct the freedom of the press for the citizens of Cambodia and the right to receive credible news from a leader whom they support and admire," according to the statement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Jul 4).

"The 22 people mentioned in the statement are barred from entering or remaining in the Kingdom of Cambodia. They are required to leave the Cambodian territory within 48 hours from the issuing time of this statement, precisely on 04 July 2023 at 16:00".
