Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 6 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen ordered Phnom Penh Capital Administration to prepare more than 300 public buses to transport citizens to their hometowns with free of charge in the upcoming general election.

The premier spoke in a voice message obtained by Fresh News on Tuesday (Jul 11).

In his message, premier Hun Sen underlined two key points including non-discrimination against any supporter of any political party, and well arrangement of the distribution of public buses for each province.

Samdech hoped that such offer will help reduce traveling cost for workers who have to travel to their hometowns to vote.

The 7th Mandate National Election will be held on 23 July 2023 and workers will be given three days of paid leaves from 22 to 24 July.
