Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen wrote on his twitter on Thursday (Jul 20) expressing his warmest welcome to international delegations who are visiting Cambodia to observe the 7th National Assembly election.

“On behalf of the Royal Government, I warmly welcome all the 333 excellencies from 65 countries and international institutions who are visiting the Kingdom of Cambodia to observe the 7th National Assembly election, to be held on Sunday, 23 July 2023.

I would like to thank his excellency the speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia and the prime minister of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau for the direct observation.

I would also like to thank the 11 former heads of state, heads of government, former presidents and vice presidents of the National Assembly for taking the time to travel to Cambodia to witness the democratic process in Cambodia.

We have already organized the general election for six times, and the seventh general election in 2023 has received the largest number of foreign observers and the highest number of dignitaries coming to observe the election.”

The 7th National Assembly Election will be held on 23 July 2023, from 7 am to 3 pm, with the participation of 18 political parties.
