Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet stated that the policy of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has added technology as a priority in addition to people, water, roads, and electricity.

The premier spoke during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh's Por Senchey district on Tuesday morning (Aug. 29).

Prime minister Hun Manet underlined that the first phase of the Pentagon policy set by the Royal Government for the growth of employment, equity, efficiency and sustainability will create more achievements for the people.

"We refine the existing CPP policies and prioritize where necessary. For example, technology was not thoroughly focused on in the Rectangular Policy, but now we are at the stage of modernization where we must guarantee competition and ensure long-term development. Therefore, we need to prioritize technology in addition to people, roads, water, and electricity,” said Manet.

At the same time, Manet added that each policy takes time to implement and produce an outcome. When the policy is well implemented, it will benefit the national economic growth and reduce poverty.
