Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 1 – Samdech Techo Hun decided to provide 70 scholarships to the management of Samdech Hun Sen Polytechnic Institute for 10 years for the future development of the institute.

Samdech spoke on Friday (Sep. 1) in a meeting with Eva Mysliwiec, executive director and Mohamad Dierra, a newly appointed managing director of Samdech Hun Sen Polytechnic Institute (officially Complexe Scolaire Samdech HUN SEN) in Bamako.

During the meeting, Samdech Techo expressed his satisfaction with the good management of the institution, which has been able to cover all its operating expenses since 2018 thanks to the revenue of tuition fees and achievements, making the institution among the top five in Mali.

Samdech Techo encouraged the school management to continue its efforts to ensure school sustainability. At the same time, for the future development of the Institute, Samdech Hun Sen decided to provide 70 scholarships to the management of the institution for 10 years (2023-2033), including 40 places for primary school students and 30 places for the secondary level.

In response, Eva Mysliwiec and Mohammad Dierra expressed their deep gratitude on behalf of all Malian children of the Polytechnic Institute towards Samdech Techo Hun Sen's wonderful gifts and gestures to the education sector of Mali.

It should be noted that the Samdech Hun Sen Polytechnic Institute in Bamako was established in 2013 with the support of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Eva Mysliwiec and another Malian partner to strengthen solidarity between Cambodia and Mali in the framework of Francophonie family and the framework of developing countries and South-South partnership cooperation.
