Kampong Speu (FN), Sep. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet advised deputy prime minister Neth Savoeun to work with relevant parties, especially in the border provinces, to facilitate the travel of the citizens and the workers crossing the border to neighboring countries for various purposes, and to deal with challenges regarding the unofficial fees.

The premier spoke on Saturday (Sep. 9) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Kampong Speu province.

"I would like to hand [the task] to deputy prime minister Neth Savoeun to work with all institutions and border provinces involved in every entry and exit. I heard from citizens and workers regarding the informal fee that they have faced. We need to find the solution for the citizens," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei also urged deputy prime minister Neth Savoeun to work with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Customs and Excise, as well as other government officials and other relevant institutions in the border provinces to find practical solutions for citizens.
