Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 18 – The Royal Government Spokesperson Unit issued a press release on 17 September 2023 on the first historic visit of Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet to the People's Republic of China.

The four-day official visit of premier Hun Manet achieved great results in terms of diplomatic relations ad bilateral cooperation, particularly economic and investment benefits as well as tourism promotion.

Samdech Thipadei paid premier Hun Manet also paid separate courtesy calls on Chinese president Xi Jinping, the chairman of the standing committee of the National People’s Congress of China Zhao Leji, and Chinese premier Li Qiang.

Prime minister Hun Manet and premier Li Qiang presided over the signing ceremony of 15 cooperation documents, including an Action Plan on Building a Cambodia-China community with a Shared Future in the New Era between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the People's Republic of China (2024-2028) and concessional loan agreements for the construction of Tonle Bassac Bridge (Chak Angre Krom-Prek Pra).

Samdech Thipadei also received the presidents of major international Chinese companies, held talks with Cambodian-Chinese industrial and commercial enterprises, and attended the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-China Expo and the Third RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation Business Summit in Nanning, Guangxi Province.

The premier concluded a fruitful official visit to China and brought great benefits for the motherland and the people of Cambodia after the great success from the premier’s participation in the recent 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Jakarta.
