Takeo (FN), Sep. 19 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet told Cambodian workers working in South Korea not to worry about passport fees or the renewal of their passports.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Sep. 19) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Bati district, Takeo province.

The Cambodian government is working to keep the fees low to a certain extent, facilitating the completion of application forms, and expediting it, the premier added.

"The service fee is not doubled, just a small delivery fee, because the application and some other tasks are done online, so please do not worry," said the premier.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also instructed Finance minister Aun Porn Moniroth to discuss with relevant ministries and institutions to facilitate and expedite the renewal of Cambodian workers' passports in South Korea.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also instructed the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training to cooperate with the Cambodian Embassy in the Republic of Korea to assist our Cambodian workers.

The premier continued, the General Department of Identification of the Ministry of Interior must be responsible for data management to ensure national security.
