Takeo (FN), Sep. 19 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that peace is more important than anything, speaking on Tuesday morning (Sep. 19) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Bati district, Takeo province.

"If there is no peace, do not talk about the 233 factories and nearly 70,000 workers. If there is no peace, do not talk about paying USD 209 to those nearly 70,000 people,” the premier added.

At the same time, Samdech Thipadei continued that if there is no peace, men will have to go to war, while women will enter the military-related industries. He cited the example of Russia and Ukraine, which have been plagued by war, leaving men and women with no choice but to go to war.

"Without war, you can learn and invest, but if there is a war, the national budget must be used to buy ammunition to fight and kill each other," the premier said. The Royal Government led by the Cambodian People's Party is committed to maintaining peace at all costs for development.

The peace has also opened the possibility for the return of the souls of Khmer ancestors back to the kingdom, the premier added.
