Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet pledged to promote security cooperation for peace, security, harmony, and development at national, regional, and international levels.

The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Conference of Global Public Security Forum, under the theme of "One World, Common Security" via videoconference on Wednesday (Sep. 20). The conference took place in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu province, China.

Samdech Thipadei congratulated the leaders and the people of the People's Republic of China for the initiative to organize the Global Public Security Forum since 2015.

Samdech Thipadei continued that the forum offers favorable conditions and opportunities for all relevant parties, especially the leaders and law enforcement agencies of many countries, to meet and exchange views to serve the security task in respective countries as well as global security.

Taking this occasion, premier Hun Manet thanked Chinese state councilor and minister of public security Wang Xiaohong for inviting and allowing Samdech Thipadei to deliver remarks at the conference. He wished Wang Xiaohong to lead this important conference with great success as planned.

The 2023 Conference of Global Public Security Forum under the theme of "One World, Common Security" reflects the status quo and a long-term vision of the need for comprehensive, sustainable cooperation with a focus on maintaining global security aims to create opportunities for the development of socio-economic prosperity for all humanities.

"This long-term vision is consistent with the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment to both political and technical levels to promote security cooperation for peace, security, harmony, and national, regional, and international development," the premier underscored.
