Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 9 – Cambodian students and citizens in Israel are safe under the coordination of the Royal Government of Cambodia with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, and other relevant authorities, according to the spokesperson of the Royal Government Pen Bona on Monday (Oct. 9).

"Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet regularly monitors the well-being of the Cambodian citizens regardless of night time and daytime.

Samdech Thipadei paid close attention to every aspect, especially security, and ordered all officers to use all measures to coordinate with the Israeli authorities to ensure that all Cambodian citizens get out of the danger zone and stay in the safe zone. Samdech Thipadei considered this task to be the highest priority.

In addition, the premier also takes care of their daily lives to ensure that everyone has food and water, as well as some essential materials that serve daily life."

There are about 450 Cambodian citizens, most of whom are living and studying in Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to express deepest condolences and extend deepest sympathy to the bereaved family for the loss of Cambodian student Chan Oudom in the clashes between Israeli and Hamas forces.

The Royal Government called on the Cambodian citizens in Israel to maintain their safety and adhere to the instructions of the Israeli authorities and wished all Cambodians in Israel safe. The Royal Government has taken measures to connect regularly with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of the Cambodian people. So far, the Cambodian government has determined the location of the people.
