Siem ReaP (FN), Oct. 16 – Permanent deputy prime minister Vongsey Vissoth, minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, said that the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (SAI) will be officially inaugurated on 16 November 2023 under the presidency of Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

The statement was made at the official launching of the airport’s operation, held on Monday morning (Oct. 16) in Siem Reap.

On the occasion, the deputy prime minister added that the construction of the SAI was initiated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen with a long-term vision.

Construction of the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport began in March 2020 with an investment of approximately USD1.1 billion by the Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.
