Beijing (FN), Oct. 19 – Cambodian prime minister stated that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has been instrumental in providing many developing countries, including Cambodia, with numerous advantages.

The premier delivered a keynote address on “Digital Economy as the New Source of the Growth” during the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on Thursday (Oct. 19).

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated the Government of the People's Republic of China and the BRI participating countries on the 10th anniversary of this important initiative that has had linked the world in the sphere of prosperity through robust, soft, hard connectivity.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that “the Belt and Road Initiative has been instrumental in providing many developing countries, including Cambodia, with numerous advantages such as the development of physical infrastructure, increased foreign direct investments, economic growth, regionals and global integrations, and people-to-people exchanges”.

He also expresses his sincere admiration to the People's Republic of China for shouldering these heavy responsibilities and exercising global leadership.
