Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 28 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet continued to call on landlords not to raise rental fee for workers, speaking on Saturday (Oct. 28) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh.

Samdech Thipadei stated, "I would like to call on the landlords not to increase the fee as it will negatively affect the workers. They only have a small raise. [...] The government will help in any way possible.”

At the same time, the premier said that the Royal Government will try to facilitate the increase of the minimum wage for workers and ease their spending.

On the occasion, the premier mentioned that due to the economic crisis, some countries in the world have raised the price of electricity, but for Cambodia, the Royal Government has stablised the price despites loss of millions of dollars in profits.

Samdech Thipadei stated that the Royal Government led by the Cambodian People's Party is marching towards the right direction by participating and working tirelessly to help improve the lives of the people.
