Kampong Speu (FN), Oct. 30 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet gave five recommendations for the capital-provincial administration in the Royal Government of the 7th mandate to strengthen public services and tackle challenges effectively.

The premier spoke on Monday morning (Oct. 30) during an inauguration of Kampong Speu provincial administration building.

The five recommendations are as follows:

1. Must strengthen the recruitment of officials with meritocracy, transparency, fairness, inclusion, and efficiency in order to ensure that officials are highly capable and professional to serve the citizens.

2. Must set up an effective mechanism to report or receive complaints from the citizens with timely response. The administration shall cooperate and assist the National Authority for Non-judicial Reconciliation.

3. The Capital-provincial Administration must ensure to provide the best public services to the citizens and absolutely must not complicate these public services and cause additional burden on the people.

4. Must adhere to the Royal Government’s policy and must be well-prepared to do and delegate the tasks effectively with high responsibility.

5. Must strengthen their integrity, especially to avoid the abuse of power. The Royal Government will take strict action against such abuses, and will assist the administration to perform their duties better.
