Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 1 – The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has been entrusted to continue to lead the ICAPP Standing Committee (SC) and to host the 12th General Assembly (GA) of the ICAPP, the 3rd Meeting of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) and related meetings in November 2024.

The decision was made during the 40th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the ICAPP and the 5th Meeting of Asia-Europe Political Forum held from 13-16 October 2023 in Kathmandu, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

The meeting was organized by the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and attended by representatives of 26 political parties from about 16 countries in Asia and Europe. Partnerships between political parties and relevant institutions in Asia and Europe to promote sustainable tourism and ensure financial stability in the aftermath of the COVID19 crisis.

The ICAPP Standing Committee commends and appreciates the organization and success of Cambodia's free and fair 2023 general election and the peaceful democratic transfer of power under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

The ICAPP Standing Committee affirms that Cambodia is recognized as a country that connects the culture and civilization between the Himalayas and the lowlands of Southeast Asia, as well as a country that promotes and maintains the values of peace, democracy and religion.

The ICAPP Standing Committee unanimously approved the ACC, chaired by National Assembly president Khuon Sudary, to extend a five-year cooperation agreement with UNESCO.
