Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet proudly announced the commitment of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces to protect the sovereignty, the king, the constitution, and the legitimate government.

The premier spoke on Thursday morning (Nov. 9) during the 70th Anniversary of National Independence Day.

"On the occasion of the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of National Independence Day and the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), the RCAF pledged to sacrifice to protect the sovereignty, the king, the constitution, and the legitimate government based on the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia and multi-party liberal democracy," the premier underscored.

The RCAF will continue to raise the Cambodian flag worldwide by participating as a "Force of Peace" in many countries, serving as Cambodian citizens with high professionalism and dignity.

Samdech Thipadei added that he has never forgotten the historically significant presence of Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk in freedom, dignity, and happiness. The queen mother always stood by and supported the late king father when he was alive in his greatest mission for the cause of his nation, and his people.

Lastly, Samdech Thipadei added he has always remembered the great contribution of the armed forces in the fight against COVID19.
