Kampong Speu (FN), Nov. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet advised the Ministry of Defense, the Commander-in-Chief, and all Armed Forces Command to pay attention and be vigilant of cybersecurity threats, and strengthen the management of security technology systems, data security, special communication system, in particular confidentiality in each command.

The premier spoke during the 28th anniversary of the establishment of Special Forces Command in Kampong Speu on Friday morning (Nov. 10).

"The Ministry of National Defense, the Commander-in-Chief, and all Armed Forces Command must pay high attention to the current and future cybersecurity threats," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei also advised the Minister of National Defense Tea Seiha and relevant parties to review and enhance the capacity of their institutions, procedures, and mechanisms for managing the data security systems and communication security system, particularly among the armed forces, which require confidentiality.

Taking this occasion, Premier Hun Manet also urged a careful review of the contrasting aspects of technology as both a beneficial and potentially destructive force.
