Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced that undeveloped lands under five hectares will be exempt from taxation starting in 2025, speaking at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), held on Monday (Nov. 13) at the Peace Palace.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscored that, to prevent double taxation and minimize the impact on the general population, lands outside the property tax area and those below five hectares will be exempted.

For undeveloped lands exceeding five hectares exempt from tax obligations, Samdech Thipadei outlined the following conditions:
1. Cultivated agricultural land approved by the Land Assessment Commission.
2. Used for economic activities by individuals or registered legal entities.
3. Leased land, with or without construction.
4. Land owned by the Royal Government or government institutions.
5. State or designated community land leased for economic purposes.
6. State-owned land leased for various economic activities.
7. Land in special economic zones used for agriculture, industry, or services.
8. Education sector enterprise-owned land registered for educational and vocational training purposes.
