Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet instructed all ministries and institutions to consult with the private sector when preparing relevant legal standards, and urged to disseminate them at least six months in advance.

The premier spoke at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), held on Monday (Nov. 13) at the Peace Palace.

Meanwhile, Samdech considered this work as one of the priorities of the Royal Government by facilitating and simplifying the implementation mechanism to ensure efficiency and not to overlap.

In order to ensure transparency and efficiency, the preparation and implementation of legal standards, Samdech Thipadei also urged the implementation to be widely publicized and a transitional period of at least six months to be in place before implementation.

In addition, Samdech Thipdei also assigned the Economic and Financial Policy Committee to coordinate and lead all relevant ministries and institutions in reviewing all permits and licenses in each sector, starting from tourism, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in order to remove or merge duplicate licenses and revise the procedures.
