Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet introduced measures for stamp duty exemption for houses worth USD 70,000 or less until the end of 2024.

The premier spoke at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF), held on Monday (Nov. 13) at the Peace Palace.

"To bolster support for the construction and real estate sectors, I would like to introduce additional measures to exempt the registration tax on the transfer of rights or occupancy rights for all types of housing within Borey projects worth USD 70,000 or less, extending until the end of 2024,” said the premier.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscores that this measure extends incentives to all categories of homebuyers.

It is important to note that in 2022, the previous Royal Government initially announced a one-year stamp duty exemption for homebuyers of USD 70,000 or less, effective until the end of 2022. However, the new mandate Royal Government has now decided to extend this policy until the end of 2024.
