Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 – The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), announced the elimination of 16 public services and a cost reduction for 56 others to support small and medium enterprises, particularly in manufacturing. This move, despite resulting in a loss of state revenue, underscores the government's commitment to fostering private sector expansion.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet spoke at the 19th Government-Private Sector Forum, held on Monday (Nov. 13) at the Peace Palace.

The premier stated that the Royal Government is willing to sacrifice state revenue if such decision can facilitate and support the private sector to grow further.

In addition to price eliminations and adjustments, the Royal Government has also reduced the processing time for 199 other services related to the manufacturing and handicraft sectors, deemed crucial for future economic growth.
