Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 5 – At the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea will attend the Eighth Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Beijing on 7 December.

"The meeting, under the theme to Jointly Strive for Modernization and Cultivate New Strengths in Subregional Development, is an opportunity for MLC foreign ministers to discuss comprehensively the group's Five-Year Plan of Action for 2023 to 2027 and initiatives to strengthen cooperation and mutual support between the six Mekong countries in the spirit of promoting socio-economic development at a time of global uncertainty," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Dec. 5).

Cambodian foreign minister is expected to have bilateral talks with other foreign ministers to further strengthen ties and cooperation within the MLC framework for the sustainable development of the region and beyond.
