Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by French Ambassador to Cambodia Jacques Pellet on 20 December at the Peace Palace.

On the occasion of the meeting, Jacques Pellet thanked Samdech Thipadei for taking the time to allow him and his delegations to pay a courtesy call, and highlighted the close relationship between the two countries.

Jacques Pellet underlined that France is committed to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of health, digital, economic, infrastructure and mutual support on the international stage.

Ambassador Jacques Pellet also affirmed France’s commitment to support Cambodia's bid to host the 2026 Francophonie Summit, which is expected to be attended by over 90 states and governments worldwide. At the same time, France has been preparing to warmly welcome the upcoming official visit of Samdech Thipadei to France.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the presence of the French Ambassador and his delegation at the meeting. He expressed appreciation for the positive outcomes of bilateral relations between the two countries in the past and affirmed the Royal Government's commitment to maintaining the sustainability and consistency of relations and underscored the unchanging foreign policy of the seventh-mandate Royal Government, especially in the bilateral relations between Cambodia and France.
