Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet ordered all capital-provincial authorities to wield their full authority in safeguarding natural resources, speaking on Thursday (Dec. 21) at the Ministry of Environment's annual meeting.

"I would like to order the relevant ministries and institutions to review the legal framework. Otherwise, we will face problems. I appreciate everyone for sending various information to my Facebook. I immediately forwarded it to their respective provinces for prevention. Provincial authorities are duty-bound to take immediate action. There is no need to wait for citizens to report to the prime minister's Facebook. You already have the duty and authority, and I always have your back. Please execute it accordingly and accurately," underscored the premier.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei instructed the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries to diligently and professionally strengthen their jurisdiction, underscoring the importance of safeguarding both fresh and saltwater flooded areas as a legacy and heritage for Cambodian citizens.
