Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that foreigners involved in drug-related offences must face legal consequences and be deported, speaking on Thursday (Dec. 21) at the Ministry of Environment's annual meeting.

"We must take legal action against any foreigner in the country who involved in drug-related activities. They must also be deported immediately," Samdech Thipadei underscored.

Please be informed that from 1 January 2023 to 21 December 2023, law enforcement forces have cracked down a total of 7,835 drug cases, resulting in the detention of 19,484 individuals, including 1,322 women and 499 foreigners from 17 nationalities.
