Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that in the modern era, scientific methods are employed to foresee future events. We do not need fortune tellers.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Dec. 26) during the launching ceremony on national report on final results of Economic Census of Cambodia 2022.

"We need to set clear goals based on scientific analysis. In the current context, there is no need for fortune tellers; we require data analysts who can initiate outlook policy,” the premier underscored.

The Royal Government encourages and advocates for an increased focus on human resource and capacity development, particularly on data research and analysis, the premier added.

Samdech Thipadei shared an example from a recent visit to a company where a group of youths was engaged in developing a marketing strategy. They conducted research on global products and study the consumer psychology worldwide, including Cambodian citizens. This approach helps them prepare products to meet future demands.
