Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed high optimism in building the nation towards progress and called for the participation and support of the people to create an environment conducive to fostering a competitive growth.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Jan. 9) during his meeting with Grade A high school students at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

Premier Hun Manet underscored, "I have a clear optimism, yet it necessitates the active participation and support of all our citizens, civil servants, armed forces, and individuals across various sectors—both private and public. Together, we must cultivate a culture and an environment conducive to fostering a competitive spirit, embracing progressive principles, and enhancing our nation's efficiency. I believe that by working collaboratively, we can achieve these goals for the betterment of our nation."

On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei also stated that our policies and vision have been set so that we can take existing experience as an example. He stressed the importance of self-belief, highlighting that with a clear vision grounded in nationalism, unwavering commitment, collaborative participation from all stakeholders, and a dedicated pursuit of the common good, we can surmount challenges and adapt for the enduring sustainability of our reforms.

Samdech Thipadei continued, the National High School Exam was just one example. Four principles were undertaken to end the 500-year war. Those included formulating a clear vision for war cessation, achieving peace, fostering complete national unity, consolidating the entire territory for the nation and its people. The success in this endeavour hinged on the unwavering commitment of the leadership under Samdech Techo and all leaders as well as operators, active participation from people on all fronts, as well as the sacrifices and dedication of the armed forces and all involved parties, culminating in our triumph in sustaining peace.

On the occasion, the premier also called for continued efforts to successfully implement reforms.
