Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that human capital development is one of the main strategies in the Pentagonal Strategy Phase One, focusing on education, general knowledge, technical skills training, morality and good citizenship.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Jan. 9) during his meeting with Grade A high school students at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"Education goes beyond knowledge and work experience; it also encompasses attitudes. The ultimate goal of education is not just to secure high-paying jobs but to contribute to building a volunteer society without solely focusing on personal benefits. Otherwise, we will lose another three goals, especially morality and quality of citizenship,” the premier underscored.

According to Samdech Thipadei, the human capital development focuses on five main priorities, such as: 1) enhancement of quality of education, sports, science, and technology; 2) technical skills training; 3) improvement of people’s health and well-being; 4) strengthening of social protection system and food system, and 5) citizenship quality strengthening with morality, equity, and inclusiveness.
