Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation departed Phnom Penh on Saturday morning (Jan. 13) to attend the 54th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on 16-17 January 2024 at the invitation of Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

Under the theme of rebuilding trust, the meeting will focus on principles such as transparency, consistency, and accountability. World leaders and top corporate executives will take part along with heads of major international organizations, civil society and youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and media leaders, according to a press release dated 12 January 2023.

Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and Spouse Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, will be the First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, and Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul, senior government officials and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

Samdech Thipadei is scheduled to speak about restoring faith in the global system at an informal lunch for world economic leaders, focusing on win-win approaches to address global concerns and foster peaceful engagement and dialogue.

On the sidelines of the forum, Samdech Thipadei will meet with Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and business figures from leading global companies to attract investments to Cambodia.
