Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet presided over the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodian Royal Army Command Headquarters on Wednesday (Jan. 24).

Samdech Thipadei issued five recommendations to all units of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) as follows:

1. The Cambodian Army must be a highly professional force, unwaveringly loyal to the nation, the homeland, and the people. It must rigorously adhere to all regulations, directives, and statutes of the RCAF, as well as legal norms. Units are urged to uphold the traditions and dignity of the RCAF, becoming a formidable force for the defence of the homeland and its people.

2. All units must prioritize the prudent and effective use of force, resources, and assets. This involves ensuring stability and effectiveness in the utilization of force, tailoring it appropriately to the needs of specific skills. Additionally, there is a call for meticulous management of weapons, military equipment, as well as essential supplies like food, ensuring their proper maintenance and sustainability.

3. All units are directed to enhance training, learning, and the development of human resources both quantitatively and qualitatively. This is crucial for effective national defence, underscoring the strengthening of soldiers' skills in alignment with their respective duties and responsibilities.

4. Units are advised to focus on preparing forces, resources, and various materials to assist in rescuing people in the event of potential disasters. This entails fostering a proactive spirit and collaborating effectively with local authorities, relevant ministries, and institutions.

5. All units are encouraged to promote on-site economic development, including crop production and animal husbandry, contributing to the improvement of soldiers' and their families' lives. This initiative aims to ensure comfort, well-being, and productivity in the execution of their missions.

Samdech Thipadei commended leaders, commanders at all levels, officers, deputies, and soldiers throughout the RCAF for their heroic efforts and sacrifices in protecting territorial integrity, maintaining peace, security, and order for the people and society.

The commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodian Royal Army Command Headquarters honours the noble heroism of those who sacrificed for the motherland and its people. It reflects a continued commitment to respecting and implementing the vision of the political program, the Pentagon Strategy-Phase I, and key measures of the seventh-mandate Royal Government.
