Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 27 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet issued a circular in remembrance of the late Samdech Supreme Buddhist Patriarch Tep Vong, who passed away due to illness at the age of 93 on Monday (Feb. 26).

According to the circular seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Feb. 27), the Royal Government issued the following recommendations:

1. Designate 27 February 2024 as the official day of mourning.

2. On 27 February 2024, all ministries, institutions, schools, hospitals, public and private sectors, as well as civil servants, armed forces, pagodas, and citizens nationwide, are urged to fly the national flag at half-mast.

3. All national and private radio and television stations are instructed to suspend the presentation and broadcast of various entertainment programs on 27 February 2024.
