Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 20 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the new Royal Government is committed to maintaining peace and implementing major reform programs to serve the national interest and address the requests and needs of the people, despite the changing and uncertain global landscape.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (Mar. 20) during the closing 2023 annual meeting of the Ministry of Rural Development in Phnom Penh.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscored, "The seventh-mandate Royal Government is firmly committed with unwavering determination and high responsibility to maintaining peace and implementing major reform programs to serve the national interest and respond to the requests and needs of the people, even in a changing and uncertain world."

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that in the pursuit of leading the country forward, the new government has outlined a comprehensive strategy with strategic objectives, including economic growth, job creation, poverty reduction, increased efficiency of institutional frameworks, and sustainable social and economic development, with a strong focus on bolstering development at the grassroots level in rural areas.

Samdech Thipadei continued that the living standards of rural residents are crucial to the resilience of socio-economic development, and these efforts are guided by a strategy aimed at fortifying a solid foundation for the nation's long-term development.

Premier Hun Manet underscored that the new Royal Government has implemented key measures to strengthen localities across all vital sectors such as education, healthcare, social order, and security at the village, commune, district, and city levels, benefiting citizens.
