Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 23 – President of the National Assembly of Thailand Wan Muhamad Noor Matha praised Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s leadership and expressed confidence in Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s ability to lead Cambodia towards greater prosperity.

Wan Muhamad Noor Matha’s statement was made during his courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Friday (Mar. 22) at the Peace Palace.

Wan Muhamad Noor Matha thanked Samdech Thipadei for taking the time to allow him and the delegation to pay a courtesy call and discuss work. He also thanked the Senate and the National Assembly of Cambodia for their warm hospitality.

The Thai National Assembly president expressed his deep appreciation for the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council of the King, to bring about progress and development in all areas to Cambodia.

He also expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia will continue to develop vigorously.

On the occasion, Wan Muhamad Noor Matha also highlighted the relationship between the two legislatures, and the National Assembly of the two countries will reach the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of visits between parliamentary delegations of the two countries and the exchange of experiences in the near future. At the same time, he informed the premier that the Thai National Assembly will continue to contribute and support the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed the Thai National Assembly president and the delegation to visit Cambodia, and appreciated Cambodia-Thailand relations and cooperation. He also stated that the current visit of the Thai National Assembly president will significantly bolster and broaden cooperation across various domains, encompassing economy, trade, education, tourism, defence, security, and beyond.
