Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 18 – Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, also Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Cambodia from 21 to 23 April.

"During the visit, Wang Yi will be granted a royal audience by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, at the Royal Palace. He will also pay separate courtesy calls on President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet," according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Apr. 18).

"Wang Yi will co-chair with First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, the Seventh Cambodia-China Intergovernmental Coordination Committee Meeting. He will also hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, to exchange views on further consolidating close and excellent bilateral ties spanning wide-ranging areas.

The visit coincides with the Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year and will contribute to further strengthening the ironclad friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, deepening the building of a high-quality, high-level and high-standard Community with a Shared Future, promoting the Diamond Cooperation framework, and stimulating collaboration across regional and international platforms, thus mutually benefiting the two nations and peoples."
