Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 21 – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was granted a royal audience by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace on Sunday (Apr. 21).

Wang Yi arrived in Phnom Penh on Sunday afternoon (Apr. 21) at 2:30 p.m. for an official visit to Cambodia from 21-23 April 2024.

During the visit, he will also pay separate courtesy calls on President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Wang Yi will co-chair with First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, the Seventh Cambodia-China Intergovernmental Coordination Committee Meeting. He will also hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, to exchange views on further consolidating close and excellent bilateral ties spanning wide-ranging areas.

The visit coincides with the Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year and will contribute to further strengthening the ironclad friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, deepening the building of a high-quality, high-level and high-standard Community with a Shared Future, promoting the Diamond Cooperation framework, and stimulating collaboration across regional and international platforms, thus mutually benefiting the two nations and peoples.
