Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 21 – At the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith will lead a high-level delegation on a state visit to Cambodia from 23-24 April 2024.

"During the visit, the president will be granted a royal audience by Cambodian king at the Royal Palace. He will meet separately with Cambodian President of the Senate Hun Sen, Cambodian President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. The Lao president is expected to exchange views with Cambodian leaders on enhancing Cambodia-Laos cooperation; as well as regional and international issues of common interest," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Sunday (Apr. 21).

"The president of Laos will lay wreathes at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial Statue of the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk.

The state visit will be a significant milestone to further strengthen and promote excellent relations, good neighbourliness, fraternal ties and solidarity as well as the Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership for the common prosperity of the two countries."
