Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 26 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed gratitude to tycoons and donors for their assistance to those in need, particularly during the significant demand for the Kantha Bopha Hospital in the past. He called for continued donations to support children in need.

Samdech Techo spoke on Friday (Apr. 26) during his gala dinner with Cambodian Oknha Association at Garden City Hotel Phnom Penh.

On that occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his happiness upon witnessing the tycoons seek a royal audience with the king and the queen mother, and generously donating money to support humanitarian activities aimed at assisting those in need.

Samdech Techo continued that on 1 May, he was honoured to participate in a solidarity football match for charity and anti-drug efforts, aimed at raising funds to support Kantha Bopha Hospital.

Samdech Techo underlined that Neak Oknha Leang Khun was the first to volunteer a donation of USD 100,000 to the charity, followed by Neak Oknha Khun Sear and Neak Oknha Kith Meng, each contributing USD 100,000 to assist the children’s hospital.

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised these actions as acts of compassion to aid those in need, both on a personal level and through the support of the Royal Government, the Red Cross, and the king and queen mother, all of whom have greatly contributed in the past.
