Phnom Penh (FN), May 7 – Prime Minister Hun Sen declared in a statement that on May 7, 2016, at 4:12 am, a group of hackers hacked his website of www.samdechhunsen.gov.kh changing photos and sound clips and as a result causing harms to his reputation of the Prime Minister of Cambodia and also a loss to a lot of data.
“This is an obvious IT crime committed openly by the hackers against his official website as the Prime Minister of Cambodia. These acts are evidently and undeniably committed by the dissident groups who always try to find insane and dirty means to attack the Prime Minister. No matter who those people are, and where they are from, they must be held accountable in accordance with the national and international laws,” a message in the premier’s Facebook page reads.
At this moment, the government’s experts in IT-crimes investigation are doing their job in view of bringing the hackers to justice.
