Phnom Penh (FN), July 29 - Over 70% casted their vote in the 6th National Assembly members election by 1 p.m, according to Dim Sovannarom, National Election Committe spokesman.

Neth Savoeun, General Commissioner of National Police said that by 12:00 pm on Sunday, the security situation of the electoral process around Cambodia was smooth; no issue or conflict happened, he underlined.

Approximately 80,000 police were deployed to ensure safety during the election; not a threat, according to Phnom Penh Municipal Police Chief Chuon Sovann.

The 6th National Assembly Election began from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 29 July 2018.
